Street Genius: Takeover Weekend

A ‘best of’ showcase of Street Genius-organised events for young people takes place over the Open Weekend on 26-28 September, as part of the launch of the Cultural Olympiad.
The Street Genius Take Over events include a pop-up exhibition from IWM, dance jam at Siobhan Davies Dance and the chance to join a new fusion band with LPO, as well as Quicksilver, an interactive dance performance along the river between Tate Modern and Southbank Centre. A youth-targetted brochure with full details is being distributed in Lambeth and Southwark, downloadable here
SOWF have launched an online competition to promote the takeover, asking local young people to ‘show us your talent’ by uploading pictures, videos or written word entries. See the promo film and details of how to enter here.
